Beta Test Engineer – Hyderabad

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Beta Test Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in mobile phone/terminal testing or R&D environments. The candidate will be responsible for beta validation of mobile devices, identifying issues, analyzing user experience, and collaborating with internal teams for product improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To perform beta testing and validation of mobile devices/terminals across different features and use cases.
2. To execute test scenarios, analyze device performance, and identify functional, stability, performance, power, and thermal-related issues.
3. To collect, reproduce, and report defects with detailed logs, steps, and supporting information.
4. To follow the defect lifecycle and coordinate with development/R&D teams for issue tracking and resolution.
5. To understand mobile domain modules and basic product workflows.
6. To manage and track issues using bug reporting tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar platforms.
7. To communicate effectively with users, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather feedback and provide updates.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering/Computer Science or a related field.
2. 1-3 years of experience in mobile phone, smartphone, or terminal testing, or in an R&D environment.
3. Experience in beta testing, device validation, performance testing, power consumption, or thermal testing is preferred.
4. Basic understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and bug management process.
5. Familiarity with mobile domain modules and troubleshooting techniques.
6. Experience with issue tracking portals like JIRA, ALM, or similar tools.
7. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with users and cross-functional teams.
