The India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022 was held from 1 to 4 October 2022 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). Themed "New Digital Universe," the event focused on promoting local manufacturing, international cooperation, and inclusive development across India's telecom and digital ecosystem.
The conference doubled as the launchpad for 5G telecom services in India, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Major telecom leaders — including Mukesh Ambani (Reliance Jio), Sunil Bharti Mittal (Bharti Airtel), and Kumar Mangalam Birla (Vi) — used the platform to confirm their 5G rollout timelines. As Asia's largest digital event, IMC 2022 drew over 70,000 visitors, 7,000 CXOs, and 300 speakers to discuss trends across AI, IoT, Edge Computing, and Cyber Security.
