Wi-Fi Calling is a High Definition (HD) voice service that makes use of a High-Speed Internet connection to let you make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi network. The ability to patch a call using a Wi-Fi connection instead of a cellular one has been around for years, with Skype being one of oldest and most popular apps to do so. Wi-Fi itself operates on a series of standards established by the IEEE and the Wi-Fi Alliance. Wi-Fi calling gives you the chance to make phone calls using a wireless internet connection. It doesn’t go through a traditional telecommunications provider like AT&T, Telia, T-Mobile, Airtel or Verizon, it uses VoIP calls in a way that is optimized for battery life and the user experience.

For Wi-Fi calling you can use the Wi-Fi connection at the hotel, home, office or even a free/paid Wi-Fi hotspot. If your device supports Wi-Fi calling, enable Wi-Fi calling option and you can make and receive calls from area with no coverage.
